Can anyone recommend flushable liners for cloth nappies? I have
been using the non-flushable blue/white ones from the supermarket,
but thought I would give the flushable ones a go.
We are rural and have a spetic tank and I have quite a few
different brands of nappys that I use.
I'm just not sure what ones to get.....
Thanks

Can you still get the blue and white liners? We were told that they
have stopped making them.

Um.. These are the Johnsons ones, blue and white, from Pak n
save. I haven't purchased any for awhile, but last time I looked
they still had them?

We can't get the Johnsons liners here anymore and were told that
they have stopped making them. If you want to keep using them, I
suggest stocking up! I am not a fan of flushables liners (as I have
said elsewhere) because they gave my daughter nappy rash. I tried
two makes and they both did the same thing. I know that other
people swear by them though!

Ok thanks, I didn't realise that had stopped making them!
Fair enough for not using them then, that is a shame she got
nappy rash :(
I might just have to try a few brands until I find some I
like :)

I use a roll of biodegradable, flushable liners that can be ordered
on line
http://www.natureschild.com.au/products/bioliners_roll_of_200_flushable/2079/1
Based in Australia but I'm sure would post to NZ.
Haven't had any nappy rash problems with 2 children
When the kids' pooing habits were relatively predictable I would
risk not putting a liner in (just to save on liners). I did get
caught a few times and cursed the nappy cleaning!

Just found this on another website and thought of you:
"... the flushing of any biodegradable nappy liner may cause
blockage in old or damaged drains and in sensitive septic systems.
Please discard pee soaked liners in the garbage and to let the
soiled liners soak a few minutes in the toilet before flushing just
so that they absorb water and break down a bit before they are
released into the system."

Thanks, I did wonder about that. Apparently our septic tank is
a really good set up, but I think I will need to do some for
investigating!! I don't want to block it lol
